Sorry for the lack of updates! Our team is busy working on a project currently and thus the updates for Winect is slow.
A small update have been released to tackle the issue of the program crashing on start. Do check if the basic NITE programs(SimpleViewer wtc) are working on your machines first before running Winect. The camera drivers initially gave me quite a bit of trouble too!
A small update have been done to Winect. It is meant to fix compatiibility issues with new and old OpenNI and NITE drivers.

A new version of Winect is up! The new version is labelled v0.72. The front end of the code is rewritten to remove bugs. The backend framework is modified to support new version of OpenNI modules. Hurray!

I made sure to test the program on 32 bit and 64 bit machines. However, I only have 3 machines to test on. So if you encounter any problems still, please discuss with us on the forums. I will do my best to assist you/ patch up the program!
I am working on the settings panel of Winect. If you have any idea what should be in the settings panel or even what other hand control applications should I build, post in the comments below!
